How do I export Rock Band 2 into Rock Band 4?


NOTE: The Rock Band 2 export offer was available for purchase for five years and has since expired at this time. If you did not previously purchase and export Rock Band 2, you will not be able to export and download this content into Rock Band 4. There are no exceptions.

HOW TO EXPORT ROCK BAND 2 ON XBOX ONE

 
NOTE: The Rock Band 2 export is currently not supported by the in-game Rock Band Music Store.

Please make sure that you have a stable internet connection and are logged into the profile that previously purchased the Rock Band 2export. Only users that previously purchased and exported Rock Band 2using the same profile within the same console family will be able to export and download this content into Rock Band 4.
 

  1. Sign in to the Xbox account with which you originally purchased the Rock Band 2 Song Export KeyRock Band 2 export songs are only available on Xbox One to Xbox account holders who purchased this product previously on Xbox 360.
  2. On the Xbox One Home screen, navigate to the My Games and Apps.
  3. Navigate to Games.
  4. Navigate to Rock Band 4.
  5. Press the start button and choose Manage Rock Band 4
  6. Navigate to Ready to Install – If you are entitled to the content, you should see 69 tracks appear in this section.
  7. Choose “Install All”. Please keep in mind that this will Install all Rock Band content you have associated with the game, additional to these tracks.
  8. Once complete, navigate to your song library. The exported Rock Band 2 tracks should be available in your song library to play! Be sure to restart Rock Band 4 if you do not see your recently downloaded tracks in-game immediately.

 

HOW TO EXPORT ROCK BAND 2  ON PLAYSTATION®4 (SIEA)

NOTE: The Rock Band 2 export pack is no longer available for purchase.  Only users who previously purchased the Rock Band 2 export pack can re-download the pack for use in Rock Band 4.  Re-downloading the Rock Band 2 export pack is currently not supported through the in-game Rock Band Music Store. The pack can only be re-downloaded through either the PlayStation®Network Store using your web browser or via the PlayStation®Network Store on your PlayStation®4 console.

 

Please make sure that you have a stable internet connection and are logged into the profile that previously purchased the Rock Band 2 Export Pack. Only users that previously purchased and exported Rock Band 2 using the same profile within the same console family will be able to export and download this content into Rock Band 4.

 

Via Your Browser

  1. Make sure you are signed-in to the PlayStation®Network with the account you originally purchased the export pack with.
  2. Locate the Rock Band 2 Export Pack here.
  3. You should see an option to "Add to Cart". Click on the button to see a modal dialog that allows you to "Continue Shopping" or "Show Cart". If you are not entitled to the export pack, the page will display "Not available for purchase."
  4. Click "Show Cart".
  5. Confirm the contents of your cart includes the Rock Band 2 Export Pack. If so, click "Proceed to Checkout".
  6. You'll see the total cost of purchase of $0.00. Click "Confirm Purchase" and proceed to the next screen.
  7. You will see an order summary, and should see an option to download your content. Click "Download to PS4".
  8. Your content should begin downloading to your PlayStation®4.

 

Via Your Console 

  1. Make sure you are signed-in to the PlayStation®Network with the account you originally purchased the export pack with.
  2. Go to the PlayStation®Network Store and search for “Rock Band 2 Export Pack”.
  3. If you are entitled to the pack, you can “Add to Cart”.
  4. Confirm the contents of your cart includes the Rock Band 2 Export Pack. If so, select "Proceed to Checkout".
  5. You'll see the total cost of purchase of $0.00. Select "Confirm Purchase" and proceed to the next screen.
  6. You will be presented with the list of songs included in the export. You can download each song from here.
  7. Hooray! You now have your Rock Band 2 content.

COMPLETING THE ROCK BAND 2 EXPORT


The RB2 Disc Export Pack will come with 70 tracks from the on-disc setlist of Rock Band 2. The remaining tracks will be available to you at a later time. These tracks are:

  1. Anarchy Club - "Get Clean"
  2. Bang Camaro - "Night Lies”
  3. Breaking Wheel - "Shoulder to the Plow"
  4. Speck - "Conventional Lover"
  5. That Handsome Devil - "Rob the Prez-O-Dent"
  6. The Main Drag - "A Jagged Gorgeous Winter"


We will update this article once the additional exported tracks are eligible for download to users entitled to the Rock Band 2 export.

 

TRACKS THAT WILL NEVER EXPORT FROM ROCK BAND 2


There are tracks from the original Rock Band 2 setlist that have never exported into any other Rock Band title. This holds true for Rock Band 4 – the following tracks will not export from Rock Band 2:
 

  1. Metallica – “Battery”
  2. Journey – “Any Way You Want It””
  3. AC/DC – “Let There Be Rock”
  4. Soundgarden – “Spoonman”
  5. Red Hot Chili Peppers – “Give It Away”

 

VERIFICATION PROCESS


You are entitled to the Rock Band 2 export if you previously purchased and exported Rock Band 2 on the same profile within the same console family. Previously purchasing the export is the only way to be entitled to download the Rock Band 2 songs and export them into Rock Band 4.Rock Band 2 export was available for five years and has since expired.

Harmonix has no way to reference any personal information stored in your first-party account, as this information is handled exclusively by Sony or Microsoft, depending on your console of choice. If you would like to verify that you are entitled to the Rock Band 2 export, please check your account’s Purchase History, or contact Sony Customer Support or Microsoft Customer Support for further assistance.
